We are currently seeking a Cad Technician Manager M&E to join our team based in Tallaght, Dublin 24. This role will provide exposure to a wide range of expertise across M&E sites in Dublin and surrounding areas.The successful candidate will produce clear, accurate M&E construction drawings and details in 2D CAD from tender through handover. Work includes 2D coordination, integrating supplier drawings, tracking redlines, and issuing build-ready drawing packs.Key Responsibilities· Drawing Production: Create and update CAD drawings based on engineer and architect specifications.· Collaboration: Work with senior staff to ensure accuracy and adherence to project requirements.· Quality Assurance: Review drawings for completeness and compliance with standards.· Technical Support: Provide assistance to project teams and troubleshoot CAD issues.· Management of CAD files, drawing registers and drawing issue sheets· Proactive participation in the construction process to maintain quality standards· Site Support: Attend coordination meetings and occasional surveys; capture dimensions/field conditions and update drawings promptly.· Deliverables: Issue complete, constructible PDF/DWG packs to program and compile final as-built/O&M drawings.Skills & ExperienceEssential· 4-5+ years' CAD experience with an M&E contractor/consultancy or specialist subcontractor.· Strong AutoCAD proficiency (model/paper space, viewports, annotative scaling, sheet sets, Xrefs).· Working knowledge of building services (HVAC, CHW/LTHW, plumbing, fire protection, LV/ELV containment).· Able to read/produce schematics and translate to coordinated layouts.· Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and deadline management.Desirable (Advantageous)· Revit (MEP) exposure for reading/exporting backgrounds or basic 3D checks.· Familiarity with BIM concepts/terminology (EIR/BEP, ISO 19650 naming) as a plus—not core to the role.· Experience producing penetration schedules, hanger/bracket details, and simple take-off drawings for QS support.· Experience on Irish commercial, healthcare, pharma, or data-centre fit-outs.· Basic site survey skills (tape/laser) and strong drawing housekeeping.Qualifications· QQI Level 6+ Diploma/Degree in Building Services/CAD (or equivalent experience).· Right to work in Ireland.
