Senior Design Engineer

This is a senior leadership position, responsible for overseeing the design, tendering, and delivery of flue systems for large-scale industrial and commercial projects. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with our manufacturing and site-based teams to ensure the successful execution of high-profile projects across Ireland and Europe.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the mechanical design function for flue systems on industrial and commercial projects.
* Manage and coordinate design activities between in-house, manufacturing, and site-based teams.
* Oversee the preparation of tender documentation, technical submissions, and project designs.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and regulatory standards.
* Provide technical leadership to multi-disciplinary teams across design and delivery stages.
* Support the Managing Director in strategic project planning and execution.
* Promote best practice in engineering standards, project management, and quality assurance.
Candidate Profile
* Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent discipline).
* Minimum of 3–5 years' post-graduate engineering experience, ideally within industrial or commercial construction.
* Strong background in
steelwork fabrication
and
site-based project delivery
.
* Proficiency in
AutoCAD (2D/3D), Revit, Navisworks
, and related IT tools.
* Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
* In-depth knowledge of
contracting environments, construction processes, and H&S legislation
.
* Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
