Longford A leading FMCG producer are seeking to hire an Environmental & Sustainability professional.
This role will manage environmental compliance and drive sustainability within the business.
Key Accountabilities Maintain compliance with environmental permits, EPA licensing conditions, and relevant environmental legislation.
Oversee the daily operation and performance monitoring of the on-site wastewater treatment facility.
Lead and support initiatives aimed at reducing carbon emissions, water consumption, and energy usage through capital projects and continuous improvement programmes.
Track, analyse, and report environmental emissions in line with site licensing requirements.
Coordinate and manage all environmental sampling and discharge monitoring programmes.
Analyse energy and water performance data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to environmental, waste, and energy management systems.
Coordinate environmental equipment upgrades and improvement works, liaising with external contractors as required.
Act as the main site representative for environmental authorities, including during inspections and audits.
Manage site noise, emissions, and pollution control activities.
Prepare and present sustainability and environmental performance reports to senior management.
Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 management systems.
Candidate Profile Degree qualified in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or a related discipline.
At least two years experience in an environmental or sustainability role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Solid understanding of environmental legislation, permitting, and compliance obligations.
Working knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 standards.
Experience with wastewater treatment plant operations is advantageous.
