Job Responsibilities
As a Payroll Officer, you will manage and process all aspects of the payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely disbursement of employee salaries, benefits, and deductions. You will play a crucial role in maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations, resolving payroll discrepancies and collaborating with various departments to streamline payroll processes. Your responsibilities include:
* Full accountability of the Sage / Sage Micropay Payroll function for weekly / monthly employees.
* Addressing all payroll-related queries from supervisors and employees effectively.
* Daily monitoring and updating of the in-house time and attendance system directly linked to Sage Micropay Payroll.
* Registering new employees on to the Time Management system and running daily reports for the shop floor.
* Facilitating company / Employee Payments / Expenses through online banking software.
* Preparing letters for PPS numbers, bank, mortgage applications, and other ad-hoc employee requests.
* General administration duties commensurate with the role.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
A minimum of 1 year's experience in a similar role is required.Experience of high-volume payroll processing in a production / manufacturing settingExperience of administering a high-volume weekly payroll
