Our client is looking for a National Account Manager to join them. You will be working with a great team of brand builders who love to challenge the norms, disrupt the status quo, and bring new ideas and products to market.This is a high-impact, commercially driven role for a National Account Manager who thrives on building meaningful customer partnerships and delivering ambitious growth plans. You'll take ownership of a diverse portfolio of key customers across grocery retail and convenience, shaping strategy, driving distribution, and delivering profitable growth across a dynamic, multi-brand portfolio.Working at the heart of the commercial team, you'll collaborate closely with Brand, Trade Marketing, Finance, and Business Development colleagues to turn insight into action — from strategic joint business plans to flawless in-store execution. If you're looking for a role where you can genuinely influence outcomes, lead from the front, and leave your mark on a national customer base, this is it.What You'll Be Responsible ForDeveloping and owning strategic Grocery Key Account Plans across a national customer portfolioBuilding long-term, value-driven relationships with key retail and convenience customersDelivering forecast and budgeted revenue targets with full commercial accountabilityGrowing distribution through targeted range expansion and new customer opportunitiesLeading the development and execution of Joint Business Plans with key customersManaging promotional calendars, trade spend, and price promotions in line with budgetFull ownership of customer price files, including CPI implementation and complianceDelivering accurate, timely sales forecasts at SKU levelDriving the successful launch of new products, range reviews, and distribution targetsPartnering with Commercial Finance and Trade Marketing to create customer-specific promotional plans that maximise profitabilityAnalysing complex data sets to identify opportunities, risks, and solutions — and presenting clear, actionable recommendationsContinuously learning from past activity to refine, optimise, and improve future plansActing as a leader within the wider team, supporting and developing colleagues to reach their potentialTaking on additional responsibilities as required to support wider business objectivesAbout You:Extensive experience in sales and key customer management within a grocery retail or wholesale environmentA degree in a business-related discipline (or equivalent relevant experience)Strong commercial acumen with a clear understanding of margin, pricing, and profitabilityExcellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skillsA proven ability to build trusted relationships internally and externallyConfident negotiation skills with a track record of delivering win-win outcomesHighly organised, with strong planning and prioritisation abilitiesResilience, adaptability, and the confidence to work autonomouslyExperience managing change in fast-paced commercial environmentsHigh level of IT proficiency, particularly in Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelYou'll be given real autonomy, exposure to senior stakeholders, and the opportunity to shape national customer strategies that deliver tangible results.
