**Building Energy Data Specialist**
Role Overview
This exciting opportunity is available for a Building Energy Data Specialist to join our team in the Technical Department. As part of the BER Coordination team, you will play a key role in delivering Minimum Energy Performance standards (MEPs) and supporting the delivery of other recast requirements.
Main Responsibilities
* Manage research and analysis projects to inform the design and delivery of MEPs.
* Lead approaches to streamline and improve the quality and efficiency of the BER framework through extensive data processing strategies.
* Develop new operational and management dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.
Essential Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A degree (minimum NFQ Level 7 or greater) in a relevant technical or operational discipline such as Architecture, Mechanical or Civil engineering, Building Services, Data Analytics, Data science/engineering or other fields relevant to building energy modelling, methodologies and data.
* A minimum of four years' directly relevant experience working in building performance assessment or modelling or in sustainability / energy consultancy or four years' directly relevant experience working in data analytics or data engineering, analysing building's data and databases.
* Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or R for data processing.
* Certification in Microsoft Azure or Power BI.
* Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team and managing projects involving a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
