Join a dynamic and fast-paced culinary team in West Dublin, where you’ll be part of a professional kitchen environment dedicated to delivering high-quality culinary products. You will be part of the team that oversees all food production activities including new and existing product development (NPD/EPD), purchasing specifications, and recipe standardization and you’ll gain hands-on experience in food preparation, handling, and hygiene. The Executive Chef also manages food and labour budgets, supervises the culinary team, and ensures that the highest professional and hygiene standards are consistently upheld. Responsibilities:
* Manage and deliver new product development (NPD) and existing product development (EPD) from concept to launch.
* Develop standardised recipes and preparation techniques to ensure consistency in quality and cost control.
* Implement portion control procedures and support the setting of product pricing.
* Provide technical expertise in developing manufacturing and costing specifications for ingredients.
* Offer consultancy on recipe development and review.
* Evaluate food products to ensure quality standards are met consistently.
* Oversee daily operations and scheduling of chefs and kitchen staff to maximise efficiency within budgeted labour costs.
* Support the preparation of food, labour, and cost budgets and proactively manage results against financial targets.
* Ensure correct staffing levels are maintained for productivity and quality.
* Develop waste minimisation and food theft prevention procedures.
* Maintain rigorous hygiene and safety standards across all kitchen areas.
* Deliver safety and hygiene training to all food handlers, reinforcing best practices and compliance.
* Maintain a routine cleaning and maintenance plan for kitchen equipment and workspaces.
* Collaborate with management regarding food production needs for special events or projects.
Candidate Requirements:
* Proven leadership in kitchen management, including staff supervision, budgeting, and production planning.
* Previous experience in a similar role (2–4 years) within a professional kitchen or food production environment is required
* Strong background in food safety, quality assurance, and technical culinary development.
* Ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver results under pressure.
* Experience with technical documentation, costing, and production scaling is highly advantageous.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a hands-on, detail-oriented approach.
Remuneration:
