About Your New Job
As the Technical Services Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of all engineering and technical services across the hospital.
You will ensure the delivery of all planned preventative and reactive maintenance programmes, supporting patient care by minimising disruption and maintaining safety at all times.
Oversee the Engineering Supervisor and Facilities Administrator to deliver effective technical services, while managing performance and compliance of contractors on site.
Implement safe systems of work, lead on compliance with statutory and healthcare standards, manage technical budgets and reporting, and contribute to capital projects and infrastructure planning.
Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within your team and engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
What Skills You Need
Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar position.
Experience in a healthcare or highly regulated engineering environment.
Strong technical knowledge of building services (mechanical, electrical, HVAC, medical gases, water systems).
Proven experience managing maintenance teams and contractors.
Thorough understanding of statutory compliance, healthcare standards (JCI, HIQA, HTM), risk and safety management.
Financial awareness with experience managing budgets.
Excellent leadership skills and the ability to communicate with staff at all levels.
Experience using CAFM or maintenance management systems.
