Job Overview
This pivotal role is seeking an experienced professional to drive high standards of food safety, quality, and compliance within a leading FMCG business.
The ideal candidate will lead the development and maintenance of robust HACCP-based Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS), ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and accreditation standards.
A key focus will be on managing audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance, as well as providing coaching and mentoring to QA and production teams.
About You
* You have a degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
* You hold Level 6 HACCP certification (or higher).
* You bring significant experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Management roles within the food manufacturing or FMCG industry.
* You possess strong knowledge of HACCP principles, food-safety legislation, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the development, implementation, and verification of quality assurance programs, SOPs, and hygiene standards across all production areas.
2. Conduct internal audits, inspections, and corrective actions to ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
3. Deliver HACCP and food safety training to production and technical staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
4. Liaise with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and customers, maintaining strong professional relationships and transparent communication.
