This role is for a client operating in the healthcare sector, specialising in large-scale clinical systems and technical infrastructure implementations. The organisation delivers projects across medical imaging platforms (including radiology and cardiology systems), digital clinical workflows, data reporting and business intelligence solutions. They work directly with public healthcare providers to deploy, upgrade and modernise core healthcare technologies, supporting improved clinical outcomes through system integration, infrastructure refreshes and tailored technical solutions within complex healthcare environments.
Job Overview
The Senior Project Manager will lead the delivery and implementation of healthcare system projects across the Change Healthcare product portfolio, managing the full project lifecycle from initiation through to closure. Projects will span new installations, upgrades, technical infrastructure refreshes and custom healthcare technology deployments into public sector health environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead customer-facing healthcare system implementation projects from initiation to closure
* Scope, plan and deliver projects to agreed timelines, quality standards and budget
* Lead and implement technical infrastructure and healthcare IT projects
* Manage internal and external stakeholders across project and programme delivery
* Own the full end-to-end project lifecycle, including sales handover, requirements, contracting, planning and closure
* Create and manage project documentation including initiation documents, plans, scope, deliverables, budgets, milestones and governance artefacts
* Ensure change control and project delivery processes are followed to maintain budget compliance and maximise revenue opportunities
* Forecast project delivery timelines and associated revenue profiles over time
* Implement robust project governance at all levels
* Produce accurate management information and delivery status reports
* Proactively manage risks and issues through timely identification, mitigation and resolution
* Support sales teams with tender responses and related project delivery input
REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science or Information Technology
* Strong project management experience in healthcare technology environments
* Formal project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2 or equivalent)
* Proven experience implementing radiology systems from a vendor into public sector healthcare organisations (NHS, HSE or equivalent)
* Demonstrated experience delivering vendor-led healthcare IT projects into public sector health systems
* Proficiency with MS Project and MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio)
NICE TO HAVE
* Experience using Smartsheets in project delivery
* Agile delivery experience in healthcare IT programmes
* Experience with SharePoint, Jira, Confluence or similar collaboration tools
* Ability to partner effectively with product management and software engineering teams
