About The Role
EPS Group has an immediate vacancy for a Project Engineer for our Minor Contracting division based from our Naas office.
As part of our growing team, you will be responsible for the engineering activities on municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants, drinking water treatment plants and various pumping stations, across our contracts in Munster.
No two days will be the same, so your activities will vary and will be agreed with the Contracts Manager on an ongoing basis.
You will support the design team through the process up to and including the onsite installation and commissioning.
A highly varied, challenging role providing invaluable exposure to the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Project management of all aspects ofwaterandwastewaterpumping and treatment installations primarily focused onMechanical/Electrical/ICArequirements with minorcivilworks included
Co-ordinatingsafetyandliaisingwith our HSQE department
Supportingthe design team in delivering innovative solutions & using modern technologies
Procurementof all items required for project delivery
Creatingproject program and ensuring that all required project interfaces are allowed for, from design to final site commissioning & handover
Liaising & coordinatingall works with the client and relevant stakeholders
Managementof all site labour including subcontractors
Ensuring projects are completedsafely, on time and within budget.
Writing engineeringreports,method statements and commissioning schedules
Responsible for all O&M and Health & Safety documentation and enforcement of safe work practices onsite during all site installations
Key Competencies And Skills
Proficiency in PC skills
Excellent inter-personal skills and communication skills
Strong engineering analytical and problem solving skills
Strong collaborative skills with an ability to work effectively in a team environment
Have a willingness to learn and be challenged in the water and waste water Industry
Have proven experience in an engineering role in aMechanical & Electricalenvironment
Experience in implementing opportunities and initiatives in a time restricted schedule
Organise and plan technical meetings with clients and Consulting Engineers
Develop specific goals and plans to prioritise, organise and accomplish stated deadlines
Project management / Site management / M&E Installation, Personnel management and any Water &/or Waste Water industry experience will be an advantage
Qualifications
Third level Mechanical Engineering degree
Similar relevant third level qualification and experience will be considered
Full EU/ Irish driving licence
All levels of experience considered
