Purpose of the Role The Capital Projects Programme Manager will be responsible for leading the delivery of the CHI Children's Research and Innovation Centre (CRIC), a critical element in transforming child and adolescent health. The post holder will act as a key liaison between the Capital Workstream delivery team, the main works contractor and the CHI Programme Board. They will be accountable for managing a team consisting of design, construction management, equipping, health safety security and environment, quality assurance, workstream interface and the employer's representative. These structures will evolve in the context of the programme lifecycle. The role will provide exceptional leadership for a transformative building and infrastructure project in CHI, including delivering large-scale, complex initiatives that will shape the future of healthcare for children and adolescents in Ireland. It also plays a key part in modernising and efficiently operating facilities, enhancing service delivery, patient care, and operational efficiency. Essential Criteria: (i) Hold a Level 8 (or higher) Quality & Qualifications Ireland major academic award in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or Surveying or Have Chartered Membership of the relevant professional association: o Society of Chartered Surveyors in Ireland o Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. o Engineers Ireland o Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland or Hold a qualification at least equivalent to one of these; and (ii) Have had at least ten years' satisfactory experience, in architecture or engineering or surveying work, including adequate experience in the construction or maintenance of buildings or in the installation or maintenance of the mechanical, electrical and heating services of such buildings. and (iii) In depth knowledge of project controls processes, tools and software. (B) (i) Have a proven track record of programme management working at a senior level preferably within a health services, public sector environment. (ii) Relevant training and significant experience at a senior level or operating within a complex planning and programme management role and/or function within a large scale multi stakeholders environment utilising and/or overseeing all the relevant disciplines including: Strategic planning, change management, services/business/ operational planning, programme management, information and data management, business analytics and risk management and Possess the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and of administrative capacity) to enter on the discharge of the duties of the office.
