Job Description
CMM Inspector is required to join a leading precision engineering company specialising in the medical device and aerospace sectors.
Main Responsibilities
* Programme and operate CMM machines to perform precise measurements of complex components, ensuring accuracy against engineering specifications.
* Conduct first-off, in-process, and final inspections, ensuring full compliance with customer and regulatory standards.
* Create, modify, and maintain CMM programs based on technical drawings and inspection criteria.
* Generate and maintain detailed inspection reports and quality documentation to support traceability and audits.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a CMM Inspector or Quality Technician in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the medical device or aerospace sectors.
* Experience of CMM programming (e.g., PC-DMIS or similar software) and inspection processes.
* Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and dial indicators.
Key Skills
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
* High attention to detail with a strong commitment to product quality and continuous improvement.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
