Job Overview:
* The Product Development Manager oversees a team of engineers and technicians, guiding projects through Phase 1 to commercialization.
* This technical leader informs development assignments or training related to the PDP procedure.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with Program Managers to execute the project plan, meeting or exceeding customer requirements.
* Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, NPI Engineering, or SMEs to develop innovative manufacturing processes following lean manufacturing and DFM principles.
* Mentor junior staff members on PDP overview, procedure, and best practices.
* Coordinate brainstorming and troubleshooting activities.
* Participate in design or phase reviews to support project advancement from Phase 1 to commercialisation.
Requirements:
* Degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, polymer engineering, or equivalent discipline.
* 10+ years work experience in medical device or similar industry is preferred.
* Demonstrated ability to develop medical devices from concept to commercialisation.
