The Job involves the assessment of Life, Serious Illness and Disability applications on behalf of the Company for the German market, ensuring that all aspects of the risk assessment process comply with Underwriting, Legal and Compliance guidelines and company procedures.Responsibilities & Duties:Evaluate new applications for Life, Critical Illness and Disability within assigned autonomy limits and alterations in cover on existing policies, within tight deadlines.Promptly evaluate new enquiries so that all information required eg medical evidence financial or occupational data etc can be requested at the earliest possible date and therefore avoid any unnecessary delays.Deal with complaints and challenges on decisions and requirements in a professional comprehensive manner, involving the necessary parties as required – Legal, CMO, Re-assurers etcDeal with Rücktritt and Anfechtung cases and advise others on the process and technical issues.Keep abreast of trends, legislation and new developments in the field of life underwriting in order to maintain expertise at the required level of proficiency.Necessary Skills & Qualifications:A minimum of 4 years relevant experience in underwriting Life, Critical Illness and disability working in a direct office or re-assurers officeExcellent written and verbal communication skills requiredFluent German oral and written and good English is essentialExcellent market knowledge requiredProgress towards a professional insurance qualification would be an advantageApply nowLast NameFirst NameEmailPhoneYour MessageUpload your CVAccepted file types: PDF, DOC, DOCX, ODT, ZIPMaximum file size: 5 MB
