We are seeking a skilled accountant to join our accounts team in Longford.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation of financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies involves analyzing financial data and presenting it in a clear and concise manner.
* Tax compliance work including VAT, Corporation Tax, and Income Tax returns requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Statutory audits and audit support work involve verifying the accuracy of financial records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
* Monthly and quarterly management accounts require analysis and interpretation of financial data to inform business decisions.
* Liaising with clients on day-to-day queries and providing proactive advice requires excellent communication skills and a client-focused mindset.
* Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and tax regulations is essential for maintaining a reputable firm.
* Supporting junior staff and assisting with their training where needed is a valuable aspect of this role.
Key Requirements
* ACCA/ACA/CPA qualified or part-qualified accountants with a strong grounding in accounts preparation, tax compliance, and some exposure to audit are ideal candidates.
* 2+ years experience in an Irish accountancy practice is required.
* Solid understanding of Irish tax legislation and accounting principles is necessary for success in this role.
* Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organisational skills are essential.
* Comfortable working independently and as part of a team is a must.
* Strong communication skills and a client-focused mindset are crucial.
