We are looking for
● Someone who is passionate about driving climate mitigation and the low-carbon energy transition and whose values are aligned with our vision and mission.
● An experienced project engineer who has worked on delivery of low-carbon energy and energy efficiency projects
● An organised person with excellent time management skills who can prioritise their workload effectively across different projects
● A confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills who can liaise with multiple stakeholders to get a project over the line
● An enthusiastic team worker who can think critically and creatively problem solve with an eagerness to learn and who shares Codema's values
What you will do
● Work with the Project Implementation team as part of Codema's Project Implementation Unit (PIU) to facilitate and deliver large-scale low-carbon and renewable energy projects
● Project manage, lead and coordinate Codema's tasks in the roll-out of such projects, and these tasks will include:
o Technical analysis
o Financial assessment
o Grant and funding advice
o Procurement
o Contract selection and design
o Bid evaluation
o Contract negotiations
● Work with other project teams in Codema teams to feed into these tasks where relevant
● Projects you will be working on include energy management, energy performance contracts, district heating, renewable energy and electric vehicle charging
● Seek out new project opportunities and introduce innovative practices
● Undertake any other duties as may be required to support implementation of Codema's Strategy Development
Minimum requirements
● A minimum 2 years' experience in a project engineer role on large scale energy projects
● Minimum honours Degree (Level 8) in a relevant field
● Demonstrated experience in stakeholder and client management
● Confident communications skills
● Understanding of cost-benefit, economic and financial analysis of energy projects
● Strong organisational and time management/planning skills and the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
● Ability to communicate complex topics in a simple and understandable manner
● Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
● Ability to provide innovative solutions to complex issues in a timely manner
● Fluency in English is essential
● Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint essential
● Ability to work with a team and on own initiative
● Ability to follow instructions and adapt quickly
Additional skills that would be a distinct advantage
● Project management qualification
● Energy Analysis
● Expertise in renewable energy areas applicable to Dublin, i.e. district heating, building based PV, residential retrofit, and other urban low-carbon energy solutions
● Energy management or ISO 50001 experience
● Experience working with public sector organisations such as local authorities
● Knowledge of Irish energy policy
● Knowledge of the Infrastructure Guidelines
● Additional certifications e.g. CEM, CMVP, IPMVP, SEAI Certified Auditor, Registered non-domestic BER assessor
● Preparing project applications and proposal writing

Location
The Codema office is located on Floor 2, The Grainstore at The Digital Hub, Roe Lane, The Liberties, Dublin D08 KC81 and is accessible by lift. The office is centrally located and accessible by a range of sustainable transport modes. Secure bicycle parking is available on-site.
