Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the Multimedia Designer will play a key role in shaping and maintaining the Institute's brand identity across online and offline channels.
The primary focus will be the creation of high-quality design assets and content (graphics, visual branding, photography, video) for a range of platforms, including social media, digital advertising, website, email marketing, and print.
The successful candidate will bring strong design expertise, an eye for detail, and a flair for creating engaging, visually consistent assets, as well as having experience in shooting and editing video content. You will be confident in leading visual projects from concept to completion, while staying up to date on the latest design trends and digital tools.
Working as part of a wider marketing team, you will be responsible for producing graphic design materials, branded collateral, and visual content. Experience in videography and editing as well as the creation of motion graphics is required.
This role is key within the Marketing Department, supporting the commercial and communications goals of the Institute of Education.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and deliver digital and print assets (e.g. graphics, branding materials, infographics, advertising creatives, brochures, promotional materials, social media visuals).
* Maintain and evolve the Institute's visual identity across all channels, ensuring a consistent brand voice and look.
* Product video, video editing, and motion graphics to enhance campaigns and digital storytelling.
* Collaborate with the Marketing Team on creative concepts, campaigns, and special projects.
* Keep up to date with design trends and emerging digital tools to introduce fresh, innovative ideas.
* Work with printers and suppliers on production of promotional materials.
* Assist with the design of on-site event collateral, display materials, guides, and other informational or promotional outputs.
* Liaise with photographers and creative partners to manage imagery, logos, and brand assets.
* Prepare content for internal use (student newsletters, noticeboards, signage).
* Ensure digital asset libraries are organised and well maintained.
Key Attributes
* Minimum of four years' relevant experience creating visual content across the formats described above.
* A relevant third-level qualification in design or video is required.
* Strong graphic design skills with a proven ability to translate ideas into engaging visuals.
* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and video editing tools (e.g. Premiere Pro, After Effects).
* Excellent attention to detail, layout, and typography.
* Ability to multi-task, manage competing deadlines, and work efficiently under pressure.
* A collaborative mindset with the confidence to contribute creative ideas.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to present and explain design decisions.
* Enthusiasm for branding and design innovation.
