Overview
Basic Grade Clinical Psychologist - Inpatient Mental Health Services at Nua Healthcare Services (Nua).

Location
Gormanston, about 30 minutes from Dublin City Centre.
Responsibilities
* Provide a range of psychological services as required including assessment, review, programme implementation, behaviour management and diagnostic.
* Promote and deliver services within the company ethos and philosophy.
* Work as a member of the multidisciplinary team providing an integrated and coordinated service to patients and contribute to the development of person-centred plans.
* Together with the team, maintain statistical records and contribute to service reports and other relevant reports.
* Ensure professional standards are maintained.
* Monitor and keep up to date with developments in psychology and early intervention, including attending training courses and participating in research and development.
* Contribute towards the ongoing development of the service as required.
* Maintain quality standards within the service and participate in quality development.
Qualification & Experience
* Possess a recognised professional post-graduate qualification in clinical psychology.
* If qualified outside the Republic of Ireland, have qualification validated by the Department of Health or be working towards meeting compensatory criteria set by the Department. Validation letter needed with the application; Nua can support with supervision to meet compensatory measures.
* All candidates must meet the registration requirements of the Psychological Society of Ireland.
* Experience of working in a secure care hospital setting.
* Experience of providing thorough secure care psychology assessments and case formulation.
* Knowledge of mental disorders, treatment options and assessment frameworks.
* Experience of working with mental disorders and with Intellectual Disabilities.
* Ability to effectively and concisely communicate with team members and management.

* Excellent overall demeanour; empathetic and able to understand others’ needs.
* Strong desire to be one's best; excellent organisational, verbal and written communication and IT skills.
* Willingness to work as part of a multi-departmental team; willingness to learn; reliable and flexible.
