SUMMARY OF DUTIES Responsible for cost accounting activities such as reporting, account reconciliations, bid calculations, work order close out, variance and account analysis.
Performs costing database maintenance.
Provides cost accounting information to management.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Enter new and existing costing of products in the database.
Provide daily costing bids (kits).
Review and close out work orders, assist supervisor in investigating any large variances, and work with production to identify and resolve any unusual items.
Review work orders over 30 days.
Prepares reports such as Cost per Unit, Factory Variance, Purchase Price Variance, etc.
Perform various database maintenance functions, such as data loading, account aliases, resources, overheads, etc.
Assist in inventory account reconciliations.
Assist with updates of standard costs and identify items sold at $0 COGS to report at month end.
Assist in analysis of actual product costs versus standard.
Assist in the reconciliation and close out process of the inventory modules in Oracle.
Run data miners for AP invoices and pull General Ledger information for review.
Prepare and review global OH allocations and cross charges and balance in deferred COGS.
Transfer price maintenance and update items for countries such as Hong Kong, Korea, Asia, India, Japan and Canada, etc.
Maintain interface errors related to transfer pricing.
Perform a variety of other accounting tasks, as required SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
Qualified ACA/ACCA Accountant.
A minimum of one year of cost accounting or related experience.
Excellent accuracy and attention to detail in performing accounting tasks.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
Demonstrated computer skills, preferably spreadsheet, word processing database, and other applicable software programs.
