Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
 * Implementation of the TLI Safety Charter and Life Saving Rules.
 * Install fibre optic cables by pulling or blowing cables through subduct or existing ducted sections. Installation of blown fibre, using blowing fibre technologies, installation of fibre cables on existing poles.
 * Carry out air pressure tests to establish whether the planned cable routes are clear and viable.
 * Ability to rod, rope and install sub-ducts as required in clear sections of network.
 * Locating, identifying, and marking of blockages for civils crews.
 * Ability to follow design drawings and schematics, use hand and power tools competently and safely.
 * Ensure safe and correct layout and continued compliance of traffic management requirements.
 * Work alongside splicing teams daily, working at height on ladders & MEWPs as required to complete cabling duties.
 * Liaise with manager's daily to notify progress of works.
 * Ability to maintain records of daily work logs, data recordings, and network design maps.
 * Ability to operate communications devices and company vehicles in accordance with company policies.
 * Carry out ad-hoc duties as requested by your manager.
 * Work with colleagues to ensure work is delivered on time and to specification.
 * Liaise with client & subcontracting personnel in a clear and professional manner.
 * Assist in the resolution of any fault issues found during the cable installation, splicing, or testing processes.
 * Escalate any issues in a timely manner to Senior Management, fault finding and resolution on the existing network.
 * Label in accordance with client specifications and requirements at entry and exit points of each chamber.

Sound practical knowledge and experience of fibre cable installations.
Sound Knowledge of Health and Safety.
Experience on blown fibre technologies.
Evidence of several consistent successes within the utilities sector.
Evidence of leading a crew completing cabling works both OH and UG.
