About the Role

The position of Commercial Ruminant Nutritionist plays a vital role in supporting the commercial sales team in driving the growth of Bloom feeds, Calf Milk Replacer (CMR), and other seasonal products. This includes providing on-farm nutrition guidance to Kerry milk suppliers and purchasers of feed from Kerry agribusiness.

Key responsibilities include coordinating a nutrition support service with the commercial team, conducting structured farm visits, and serving as the first point of contact for handling nutrition/feed quality issues on farm. Additionally, this role involves developing nutrition guidelines, offering training to store staff on the Bloom feed range, and liaising with the mill team and external service providers on new feed-related products.

Key Responsibilities:

* Co-ordinate a nutrition support service with the commercial team on a weekly basis.
">
* Dedicated structured farm visits accompanying a member of the commercial team.
">
* Be the first point of contact for handling nutrition/feed quality issues on farm e.g. Milk fever, low butterfat/protein %, feed shortage, diet feeder, diet formulation and overcoming objections to the reluctance of customers not using Bloom feeds.
">
* Develop nutrition guidelines and offer training on a regular basis to store staff on the Bloom feed range including minerals and milk replacer products.
">
* Liaise with the team at the mill in Farranfore and external service providers on the development of potential new feeds/feed related products i.e course mixes, dry cow minerals, new feed additive technologies.

* Taking ownership of this process will form an integral part of the role.

* Attend trade shows and speaker opportunities at farmer-facing events to promote the Bloom feed range.
">
* Enable and up-skill the sales team to have the ability to overcome objections on farm to up-sell and to be further supported the Commercial Ruminant Nutritionist where needs be.

* Engage with key stakeholders who directly and indirectly impact on the Bloom feeds business to cascade information up and down the chain.

* Work in conjunction with the quality, sustainability and commercial teams to garner enhanced participation in Kerry's Evolve programme.

Qualifications and Skills:

* Degree in Agricultural Science (preferred).
">
* 3-5 years of experience in the field.
