Job Description
This is a key role acting as both a technical interface and customer champion within a busy food and dairy chemistry environment, ensuring customer requirements are clearly understood and delivered through effective coordination with internal teams and partner laboratories.
This is a one year fixed term contract. Working part time 25 hours per week -10:00 till 15:00 Monday to Friday.
Tracking incoming shipments by monitoring sample deliveries, logging receipt status, and following up on delayed or missing consignments.
Monitoring shared mailboxes, reviewing and actioning incoming queries, requests, and notifications to maintain prompt communication.
Liaising and coordinating with other Eurofins sites to resolve sample routing issues, clarify testing requirements, and support inter‑lab workflows.
Managing additional sample requests, processing client or internal requests for extra testing, ensuring correct documentation and timely handover to the prep team.
Updating and adjusting test codes as required, ensuring accuracy before samples progress to the next stage.
Maintaining accurate records, documenting all actions, updates, and communications to support traceability and compliance.
Escalating issues by raising discrepancies, missing information, or operational concerns to the appropriate supervisor or manager.
Supporting continuous improvement, contributing to the refinement of sample registration, preparation, and communication processes.
Ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance with SOPs and quality standards.
Carrying out other tasks as required to support the smooth running of the Sample Reg & Prep function.
Adhere to all Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures, and support compliance with ISO 17025 standards through adherence to internal quality processes.
Comply with Eurofins Health & Safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
Experience in an administrative or support role within a laboratory or regulated environment is beneficial.
Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) is an advantage but not required.
Strong attention to detail.
Proficiency in MS Office and excel.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
Strong organisational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Problem‑solving mindset and ability to work independently and in a team.
