LLM & FOUNDATION MODEL RESEARCHER (CONTRACT)

ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced LLM & Foundation Model Researcher to join our global tech client based in Dublin 2.
The era of intelligent cloud is here. With advancements in Machine Learning (ML) and AI, including Large Language Models (LLMs) and Deep Learning, we can now tackle complex challenges in cloud management-such as proactive anomaly detection, intelligent resource allocation, fault diagnosis, and network demand prediction.
Our client is expanding their LLM Research Team to develop domain-specific foundation models, multi-agent systems, and web agents tailored to Consumer Cloud services. Key application areas include smart health, data infrastructure, and advertising operations.
You will work closely with the second-largest smartphone manufacturer globally, to deliver next-generation AI solutions that impact millions of users worldwide.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Research and identify state-of-the-art AI and foundation model technologies for healthcare and IT operations.
* Independently conduct research, develop algorithms, and deploy prototypes for LLM and agent-based systems.
* Rapidly iterate and validate software prototypes, benchmarking alternative solutions.
* Collaborate with domain experts, data engineers, and product teams to productionize AI technologies.
* Deliver source code, design documentation, and contribute to deployment strategies.
Publish research in leading conferences and journals (e.g., ICML, NeurIPS, AAAI, ACL).
KEY REQUIREMENTS
* Ideally PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Natural Language Processing or relevant practical experience.
* Strong hands-on experience with Large Language Models and foundation model development.
* Experience with time-series, wearable, or healthcare data is highly desirable.
* Advanced programming skills in Python.
* Proven ability to own projects end-to-end-from concept to production prototype.
* Publication record in top-tier ML/AI conferences and journals is a strong plus.
