Job description: Architectural Technologist
Position Overview:
We are seeking an Architectural Technologist with strong technical and detailing skills to join our growing team in Limerick.
Key Responsibilities & Duties include:
* Collate and organise technical information
* Investigate technical information and factors that affect development, including user needs, site and building surveys and regulatory requirements
* Preparing regulatory/statutory applications
* Be proficient in the use of Revit for preparation and presentation of design proposals and technical drawing / production documentation using Revit and traditional methods under the instruction of the project architect
* Contribute to the detailed design process and co‐ordination of detailed design information
* Preparation of specifications for tender/construction work under the instruction of the project architect
* Preparation of drawings, and documentation for statutory approvals
* Contribute to design stage risk assessments
* Undertake site visits and inspect works
* Contribute to meetings, site workshops and document preparation
* Liaise between members of the design and construction team
* Provide professional technical guidance to design and construction teams
* Ensure that all projects in which you are involved are carried out in accordance with the Reddy A+U Practice Procedures Manual, the RIAI Good Practice Guide / RIBA Job Book and ISO 9001 standards.
* Undertake structured CPD
Requirements:
* Degree in Architectural Technology.
* 2-3 years post qualification experience, with previous success delivering medium to large scale residential projects.
* Thorough understanding and application of Irish building regulations.
* Strong attention to detail, ensuring precision in both design and construction phases compliance.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent Revit Skills.
* Experience in specification writing
* Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive, solution-driven approach.
