The Role.
GMC is currently seeking an experienced Gas Fitter to join our team in Co. Waterford.
The successful Gas Fitter will work on the GNI maintenance contract, delivering ongoing metering, siteworks, and customer/shipper related activities.
Availability for emergency first response duties as per an agreed rota is required.
The Gas Fitter package at GMC includes €30/hr plus a substantial stand-by package.
Key Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Installation, maintenance, and repair of gas appliances and pipework in domestic and commercial buildings.
* Ensuring safety and accuracy with high attention to detail during installations.
* Routine maintenance on existing gas appliances and pipework to ensure safe and efficient operation.
* Repair of faulty gas appliances and pipework.
* Interpreting plans and drawings accurately to undertake work correctly.
Candidate Requirements:
* Full clean driver’s license essential.
* Up-to-date RGI and GDA qualifications essential.
* Confident, motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines.
* Strong time management skills to meet targets.
* Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
* Integrity and respect for confidentiality and privacy.
