To ensure that we have the right structures in place to support the achievement of our goals we are currently recruiting for a new and exciting role of Billing Administrator.
The Billing Administrator will managing billing for assigned partners, solicitors and other legal services colleague, prepare and submit invoices, and ensure accuracy across electronic billing platforms.
The Billing Administrator will have responsibility for:
* Overseeing billing for designated partners and solicitors
* Accurately entering and maintaining billing and client information in the practice management systems (e.g. Aderant and iManage)
* Preparing and distributing pre-bills and final invoices
* Drafting narratives from Work In Progress Reports (Aderant Expert) and calculating figures.
* Following up with relevant Fee Earners to ensure all time is captured. Processing signed off bills with Accounts.
* Preparing Transaction bills to clients' specifications.
* Resolving billing issues, including rejections and appeals
* Tracking outstanding balances and follow up as needed
* Collaborating with solicitors and legal staff on billing matters
* Assisting with new matter setup and other billing-related tasks
* Ensuring electronic and hard copy filing is up to date.
* Other administrative tasks and ad hoc projects as requested
Requirements:
* 2+ years of billing or accounts experience
* Bachelor's degree required
* Familiarity with Aderant Express or similar billing software
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
* Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
* Excellent numerical skills
