We're currently recruiting a Design Manager to join their high-performance project delivery team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced or aspiring Design Manager to play a key role in shaping project outcomes and driving innovation on site and in the studio.
What Youll Be Doing Design Management & Coordination Act as the lead interface between architects, structural and MEP consultants, subcontractors, and BIM teams.
Ensure that design deliverables are coordinated, buildable, and aligned with programme milestones.
Support the Project Manager in managing the design process through all RIBA stages, highlighting design risks, clashes, and commercial impacts.
Technical Oversight Oversee the review and approval process for design documents, submittals, and materials.
Track deliverables to ensure alignment with the project programme, quality benchmarks, and specification requirements.
Coordinate design workshops and technical reviews to resolve outstanding issues pre-construction.
Regulatory & Quality Compliance Ensure designs are compliant with Irish building regulations, BCAR, local authority approvals, and health & safety standards.
Collaborate with the QA/QC team to uphold design integrity and close out design-related snags and NCRs.
Contribute to the development of O&M manuals and handover documentation.
Reporting & Stakeholder Communication Lead and minute design coordination meetings, ensuring action points are followed up.
Maintain accurate records of design changes, RFI responses, and consultant feedback.
Maintain ongoing communication with client-side consultants and internal teams.
Commercial Awareness Maintain a close understanding of the commercial impacts of design decisions and variations.
Flag risks and opportunities arising from the design coordination process.
What Youll Bring Degree in Architectural Technology, Construction Management, Engineering or a related field.
35+ years experience in a design coordination or design management role within a main contractor or developer.
Solid understanding of construction methodology, buildability, BIM coordination, and project delivery.
Confident navigating models and managing technical documentation.
Strong communicator with the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
