Tasks and Qualifications:
* Manage a team of skilled resident engineers to deliver contractual KPIs on time and within budget.
* Mentor, guide, and develop the team to promote Dematic values and support customer requirements.
* Ensure quality and customer satisfaction by recognizing critical success factors.
* Manage talent review, development, and succession planning.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and policies.
* Create and maintain site health & safety plans, fostering a safety culture.
* Utilize DMMS for safety-critical maintenance, spare management, and scheduled maintenance.
* Promote safety practices, including near-miss reporting and safety audits.
* Deliver and control budgets within contractual guidelines.
* Prioritize and plan repairs aligned with customer needs.
* Maintain service records and system fault management to minimize business impact.
* Manage legislative compliance for maintenance activities.
* Standardize maintenance practices and promote continuous improvement initiatives.
* Lead LEAN projects to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
* Set and manage customer expectations and provide escalation pathways.
Qualifications:
* HNC/HND in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering; Degree preferred.
* IOSH managing safely/NEBOSH certification (desirable).
* Minimum 5 years of team management experience in a similar role.
* Level 5 qualifications in people management (desirable).
* Lean/Six Sigma certification (desirable).
* Recognized engineering apprenticeship.
* Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic manuals and drawings.
* Knowledge of control systems and troubleshooting techniques.
* Experience with conveyor systems and automation environments.
* Excellent PC literacy and communication skills.
* Understanding of preventive maintenance principles and CMMS software.
* Experience managing budgets and P&L.
* Knowledge of FEM and BS standards in automated warehouse industry.
* Continuous improvement mindset.
