Our client, a leading organisation within the building materials and distribution industry, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee operations at their busy central distribution facility in Ferbane, Co. Offaly.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional to take on a hands-on leadership role managing daily operations, stock control, and health & safety compliance while driving a culture of continuous improvement and customer focus.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide strong leadership and mentoring to the warehouse team.
2. Manage day-to-day operations including resource planning, goods in/out, storage, and order picking.
3. Liaise closely with customer service and transport teams to ensure timely order fulfilment.
4. Oversee stock management across multiple warehouse locations, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
5. Conduct and monitor cyclical stock counts to maintain inventory precision.
6. Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and service standards.
7. Lead the Health & Safety committee, ensuring compliance with all regulations and maintaining staff H&S training records.
8. Oversee maintenance and service schedules for all warehouse equipment.
Requirements
9. Minimum 3+ years' experience in a logistics or warehouse management role within a fast-paced environment.
10. Proven ability to lead and develop teams.
11. Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
12. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
13. Working knowledge of SAP or similar WMS, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
14. Solid understanding of Health & Safety practices and compliance.
