Job Title: Instrument Calibration Specialist
Instrument calibration specialists play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of automated equipment. The primary responsibility of this position is to coordinate, set up, install, and support test and measurement equipment to guarantee optimal performance and achieve operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain precise calibration records, including data, equipment history, and maintenance logs.
* Perform calibration and repair of electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic test and measurement equipment according to established procedures and standards.
* Manage and maintain calibration standards and reference equipment.
* Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
* Ensure all calibration activities comply with ISO 13485, FDA regulations (21 CFR Part 820), and other applicable standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in electronics, instrumentation, or a related field.
* Proven experience as an instrument calibration specialist, preferably in a regulated industry.
* Strong knowledge of calibration principles, techniques, and standards.
* Proficiency in using calibration software and equipment.
* Familiarity with ISO 13485, FDA regulations (21 CFR Part 820), and other relevant standards.
This position requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Environment:
Duties are performed in a manufacturing environment with occasional to frequent exposure to elements such as noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, etc.
This role requires periodic light physical effort and exertion, including prolonged repetitive motions requiring manual dexterity and precise hand/eye coordination, sitting and/or standing in confined workspaces, using tools and equipment, and moving and handling materials.
