We are looking for a Head Pizza Chef to join our busy kitchen and make take responsibility for an entire station that makes great Neapolitan pizzas.
Head Pizza Chef responsibilities will include overseeing the management of dough, preparing toppings, opening dough balls, output from our pizza oven (Izzo Forni 6 electric oven) and finishing pizzas. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with Neapolitan pizza, be available to work 5 days in 7 and be a focused, hard-worker with big ambitions.
Ultimately, you will help us to do what we do...consistently serve great pizzas, with excellent toppings on amazing bases.
Responsibilities
* Prepare dough (make, ball, proof, open etc)
* Make fresh sauces
* Wash and chop vegetables
* Cut, slice and prep meats
* Bake pizzas
* Monitor food stock and place orders, as needed
* Recommend new recipes to update our menu
* Maintain a clean cooking station and sterile equipment
* Assist with HACCP
* Work alongside a strong and hardworking team across all stations
* At least 2 years experience as a Pizza Chef
* Hands-on experience with preparing and baking pizza dough
* Familiarity with professional kitchen equipment and electric pizza ovens
* Understanding of food hygiene
* Good time-management skills
* Team spirit
* Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and evenings.
* Salary listed is a starting salary, but we are looking for someone with a proven track records in pizza and will pay DOE.
