Job Summary
A Maintenance Technician is required to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing repair orders, notifying management of major repairs, and performing repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, kitchen, and laundry equipment.
Key Responsibilities
* Complete general repair orders as requested.
* Notify management of the need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
* Perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, kitchen, and laundry equipment.
* Maintain adequate levels of spares, stock, and supplies.
* Undertake high-quality repair and maintenance tasks including plumbing, joinery, and carpentry, painting, decorating, and statutory testing.
* Respond appropriately to health and safety matters.
* Move furniture and heavy items from location to location as required.
* Inspect and maintain common areas, including refuse and recycling facilities, to the highest standards.
* Ensure gardens and grounds are well maintained, clean, tidy, and hazard-free.
* Demonstrate safe behaviours by reporting malfunctions, injuries, or accidents promptly.
* Identify areas for improvement and implement ideas to achieve operational excellence.
Requirements
* 1 year's experience in a similar role.
* Experience working with people with additional and/or complex needs.
* Enthusiasm, proactivity, and motivation to provide high-quality holistic supports.
* The ability to adapt to new environments.
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
* Excellent organisational skills and self-motivation.
* Excellent verbal, written communication, and IT skills.
