As a highly skilled Engineering Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the execution of engineering projects. Your primary objective is to deliver projects on time and within budget, while ensuring high-quality results.
Main Responsibilities:
• Manage and deliver various engineering projects
• Collaborate with stakeholders to keep them informed about project progress and any arising issues
• Resolve engineering problems by collecting information, researching, analyzing, recommending solutions, preparing drawings, schematics, and diagrams, evaluating components, materials, and suppliers, developing specifications and safety standards, evaluating new equipment and techniques, and overseeing installations
• Organize and coordinate internal teams and third-party labor for project execution to a high standard, ensuring adherence to the overall project plan throughout the project lifecycle
• Maintain project team accomplishments by communicating essential information, coordinating actions, obtaining expert input, reviewing open issues and action items, contributing information to team meetings and reports
• Work closely with sites to implement projects efficiently, minimizing disruption to production
• Source parts, liaise and negotiate with suppliers, follow up on part deliveries, and oversee incoming parts upon delivery
• Assist with budgeting and cost analysis
Requirements:
• Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Project Management experience
• Several years of industry experience in a similar role
• Sound mechanical and electrical knowledge of equipment and processes
• Previous experience in water treatment or automation preferred but not essential
• Ability to analyze situations and troubleshoot/problem solve as required
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• High level of technical ability
• Excellent attention to detail
• Competent in technology use with good IT skills, Excel, and AutoCAD essential
• Organizational skills with ability to manage conflicting priorities
• Enthusiastic and flexible team player with high expectations of self and others
• Able to work under pressure and on own initiative
• Constantly striving to enhance and improve existing processes to add value
• Flexibility and ability to adapt quickly and positively to change
• Willingness to travel when required
