Tirlán, currently partnering with a third-party service provider for IT services, is about to embark on a significant IT transformation programme to establish its own IT capability. The initial focus will be on enabling projects, involving close collaboration with our partner. This will require new roles to join the Tirlán IT team in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Overview
Reporting to the IT Transformation Manager, the IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for maintaining the data centre infrastructure and working with a managed service provider for Tirlán’s data centres and server infrastructure. The role oversees the work performed and manages operational aspects of the provider relationship.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the managed services provider to set up, configure, and maintain hardware and software components within the data centre, including servers, storage, and operating systems.
* Manage the core components of Microsoft IT Infrastructure, such as Active Directory, ensuring security, availability, performance, and timely resolution of technical issues.
* Oversee routine maintenance and upgrades performed by managed service providers, in line with security policies and controls.
* Ensure compliance of data centre and IT infrastructure with security standards and regulations; implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
* Work with IT teams and stakeholders to support new initiatives and projects.
* Participate in incident management related to data centre and infrastructure issues, liaising with service management, providers, and application teams.
* Contribute to the strategy development for Tirlán’s Central IT Infrastructure.
Key Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
* 8-10 years of experience in Microsoft IT Infrastructure or similar.
* Experience with IT infrastructure services like Microsoft Active Directory.
* Proven experience managing data centres and infrastructure with service providers.
* Knowledge of security standards such as ISO 27001 and NIST.
* Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware; technical knowledge of servers, hardware, OS, and storage.
* Understanding of data backup and disaster recovery processes.
* Networking knowledge is advantageous.
* Experience with Cloud Services is desirable.
* Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
