Procurement Professional for Technology Management
We seek a highly skilled Technology Procurement Manager to join our team. This key role is part of the Procurement & Materials Department, focused on managing technology projects across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead tendering processes for technology projects, ensuring compliance with EU directives and internal policies.
* Promote sustainability throughout procurement activities.
* Conduct investment appraisals to support procurement decisions.
* Manage mini-tender competitions and justify procurement decisions.
* Oversee contract management for IT projects, including legacy systems.
* Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with end users.
* Ensure compliance with the Public Spending Code and manage KPIs.
* Facilitate regular meetings with stakeholders to align on goals.
* Track budgets and report on spending variances.
Requirements:
* Minimum Level 6 qualification in Public Procurement.
* At least 3 years' experience in public procurement, ideally in the utilities sector under EU directive 2014/25/EU.
* Strong understanding of various tendering procedures (e.g., Frameworks, Competitive Dialogue).
* Commercial acumen and ability to deliver value for money.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Experience supporting School Transport Tenders is a plus.
* Creative problem-solving and ability to lead change.
* Strong planning and organisational skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office and experience working with cross-functional teams.
