Unijobson behalf of our public sector client have a requirement for aTraining and Testing Support Officer.Reporting to thePAS Project Manager/Test LeadtheTraining and Testing Support Officer will be working on thenewPatient Administration System (PAS) Upgrade Project.This is atemporary positionthat isfully onsite, based inDublin 8.Working35 hours per week, the successful candidate will be employed as an agency employee, this position is aligned to a salary scale ranging from€35,609 - €54,914p.a (depending on public sector experience). This position also offers28 days annual leave per yearand paid bank holidays.Purpose of the Role:The Training and Testing Support Officer will play a critical frontline role in the testing, training, and successful implementation of a new Patient Administration System (PAS) within the hospital. The post holder will be responsible for: Supporting system testing and validation Delivering and coordinating end-user training Providing hands-on go-live and stabilisation support This role is essential in ensuring the PAS system is safe, effective, user-friendly, and fully adopted across clinical and administrative services.Key Duties and Responsibilities:System Testing & ValidationWork with third-party providers, analysts and workstream/customer support teamsto ensure software solutions meet user expectations.Review documented test cases.Execute comprehensive testing against the software, ensuring all features functionas designed and intended.Perform root-cause analysis of defects to identify and mitigate project risks.Communicate the results of software testing efforts to stakeholders and suggestareas of improvement.Contribute to the continuous improvement of software testing methodologies and,if necessary, develop standard operating procedures (SOPs).Specific Tasks include:Participation in and support of:System testingIntegration testingUser Acceptance Testing (UAT)Execution of test scripts and accurately document results.Log system defects, workflow issues, and configuration problems.Retest fixes and confirm resolution.Validate patient pathways including:OutpatientsAdmissionsTransfers & DischargesWaiting list managementEmergency Department flowsTraining Development & DeliveryDeliver classroom, virtual, and one-to-one PAS training to:Clerical staffNursing staffMedical staffManagement usersSupport development of:Training materialsUser guidesQuick reference guideseLearning contentMaintain accurate training attendance records.Provide post-training support and follow-up.Clinical & Operational EngagementWork closely with:AdmissionsOutpatientsBed ManagementEmergency DepartmentWards & TheatresAssist in mapping:Patient pathwaysBooking processesClinic templatesAdmission workflowsGo-Live & Stabilisation SupportProvide on-site floor-walking support during go-live.Respond to real-time PAS issues and user queries.Escalate system incidents appropriately.Support post go-live review and system optimisation.Act as a key liaison between frontline users and the project team.Governance, Clinical Safety & ComplianceEnsure compliance with:GDPR & Data ProtectionPatient confidentialityICT & cybersecurity policiesParticipate in audits and quality assurance processes.General Digital & Administrative ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate:Test documentationTraining recordsIssue logsSupport reporting to PAS Programme Governance Groups.Maintain structured electronic records via Teams / SharePoint.Academic/Professional Qualifications and/or Relevant Experience:Required:Candidates must have at the latest date of application:Have obtained at least Grade D (or a pass) in five subjects including Mathematicsand English or Irish (or four subjects if Irish is included) from the approved list ofsubjects in the Department of Education Leaving Certificate ExaminationAndHave obtained at least Grade C (or honours) in higher level (or honours) papers inthree subjects in that examination (or two subjects if Irish or Mathematics or bothIrish and Mathematics are included);OrHave obtained a comparable standard in any equivalent examinationOrHold a third level qualification of at least degree standard (QQI level 7)OrHave a minimum of 1 year's satisfactory clerical experience (ideally within a patientor customer service-related area) which encompasses demonstrable equivalentskills in an environment relevant to the role.AndPossess sufficient administrative capacity to discharge the functions of the grade.Note: Candidates must achieve a pass in Ordinary or Higher-level papers, a pass in afoundation level paper is not acceptable. Candidates must have achieved these grades onthe Leaving Certificate Established programme or the Leaving Certificate VocationalProgramme. The Leaving Certificate Applied does not fulfil the eligibility criteria.Desirable:Previous clerical experience in a Hospital / Healthcare environment which mayinclude General Hospital Administration / Medical Secretary and/or Medical Audiotyping role.Have completed or leading to completion in a course of study related to MedicalSecretary or Hospital administrationTechnical/Clinical Competencies:Please note for each of the required competencies below, you will be required to provide examples of your current level of knowledge, skill and/or experience for each of these.Required:Excellent Keyboard SkillsExcellent working knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel) and E-mailDesirable:Training or education qualificationICT, Digital, or Project Support qualification.Prior experience in: PAS or EPR projects / Hospital digital transformation / Large-scale system go-live eventsISTQB foundation levelThis position may be subject to Garda Vetting and Foreign Police Clearance, if applicable you will be required to obtain these prior to commencing in this roleUnijobs is an equal opportunities employer.
