Senior Sous Chef opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Sous Chef to join our team in a 4-star hotel in Co. Cork.
As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu planning, staff supervision, and inventory control.
You will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure that the highest standards of quality and service are maintained at all times.
In this fast-paced environment, you will be expected to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and maintain open communication with colleagues and management.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
* Supervise and train junior chefs, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and safety.
* Work closely with the Head Chef to develop and implement new menu ideas and specials.
* Coordinate roster scheduling, labor costs, and inventory management.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
* Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a Senior Sous Chef in a similar role and property in Ireland.
* Proven track record of delivering high-quality dishes and exceptional customer service.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills.
* Able to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
