Carlow Toolmaking Services is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Toolmaker to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified toolmaker with 2-3 years of experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has an eye for detail. You'll work alongside a collaborative team to produce high-quality tooling solutions for various manufacturing processes.Key Responsibilities:Precision machining of component parts for special-purpose and bespoke tooling.Program and operate CNC and manual machines.Read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and specifications.Collaborate with engineering and design teams to optimize efficiency and quality.Contribute to new product development and improvement projects.Maintain accurate documentation of production activities.Assist with the training of new apprentice toolmakers.Adhere to all health and safety standards to ensure a safe work environment.Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on tooling and machinery to ensure smooth operations.Qualifications & Experience:Time-served qualified Toolmaker with a minimum of 2-3 years' experience.Experience in CNC and manual machining, with the ability to program and operate machines.Strong attention to detail and a high level of precision in all work.Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.Experience in CAD/CAM software is advantageous.Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and good teamwork skills.Highly motivated with the ability to meet deadlines and work independently.Desirable Skills:Experience in design/manufacturing of special-purpose toolingFamiliarity with medical device manufacturing or precision engineering environments.A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.What We Offer:Competitive salary based on experience, with negotiable wages.Company pension plan professionally managed and invested in by CTS.4.5-day workweek (finish at 1 PM on Fridays).Personal insurance for employees and benefits for their immediate families.Paid additional education opportunities.Annual GP visit funded by the company.Excellent working conditions in a collaborative team environment.Job Type: Full-timePay: €42,000.00-€50,000.00 per yearBenefits:Bike to work schemeCompany pensionOn-site parkingProfit sharingSick payWork Location: In person
