NPI Process Engineer
Job Summary:
To assist the Engineering/Production department in improving manufacturing processes and developing the most efficient moulding process and tooling to meet or exceed customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Responsible for introducing new products into the company and compiling standard specifications for each process.
* Ensures process optimization using statistical techniques.
* Works with Production Group leaders (PGLs) in troubleshooting processing problems.
* Establishes relationships with customers and suppliers in pursuit of continuous improvement and business development.
* Solves customer-related problems/issues in conjunction with the Quality department.
* Instructs others regarding manufacturing skills/knowledge and assists in training employees on new processes/systems introduced to the company.
* Coordinates documentation development in Production/Tech areas, aligning with ISO9001:2000 and ISO 13485 requirements, and reviews systems regularly with Group Leaders/Quality department.
* Communicates regularly with external suppliers/materials providers, providing feedback on issues to the management team.
Requirements:
* Minimum National Diploma in Plastics Engineering (preferably a Degree in Engineering) and at least 4-5 years' experience in injection moulding.
* Good knowledge of injection mould tooling/design, injection moulding, processing, ancillary equipment, and automation systems.
* Preferable experience in Medical, Packaging, or technological industries.
* Familiarity with real-time monitoring systems and Statistical Process Control (SPC)/Design of experiments (DOE).
* Knowledge of WCM, JIT, SMED, Kaizen principles, and computer systems/integrated manufacturing systems.
