Occupational Therapist in Child Focused Service
This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver a much-needed service as a Senior Occupational Therapist.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide therapeutic assessment, intervention, and clinical reasoning for children/young people with diverse and complex needs.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care planning.
* Assess occupational performance needs within the child's family, home, social, and school environments.
* Apply and adapt suitable therapeutic approaches supporting children presenting with trauma- or welfare-related difficulties.
* Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to the child's care network, including carers and professionals.
* Contribute to service planning, quality improvement, research, and audits.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Registration with CORU Occupational Therapists Registration Board.
* Minimum three years post-qualification clinical experience, including at least one year working with children/young people.
* Strong clinical skills, professional judgment, and suitability for work within a multidisciplinary child-focused service.
* Full driving licence and access to suitable transport.
* Additional training and/or experience in Sensory Integration.
