Job Title: Person in Charge

Location: Fermoy, County Cork

Disability Service: Children Disability Residential Service

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

Purpose of the Role:
* The Person in Charge (PIC) will oversee the management of the Service, ensuring high standards of service delivery to residents and effective staff management.
* Ensure compliance with HIQA standards and implement Talbot Group policies and procedures supporting best practices in disability services.
* Handle and respond to complaints appropriately, following organisational policies.
* Lead and mentor staff through supervision, appraisals, and team meetings.
* Coordinate appointments with the multidisciplinary team.
* Maintain a high quality of life for residents through person-centred care plans, health promotion, reviews, and risk assessments.
* Support residents in exercising choice and control, developing citizenship, and maintaining relationships with family, friends, and advocates.
* Review and update care plans regularly, in line with regulations.
* Stay informed about professional developments and commit to ongoing professional growth.
Role Requirements:
* A QQI Level 7 Degree in Social Care or a relevant Allied Healthcare discipline.
* Minimum of three years' management or supervisory experience in the Health or Social Care sector.
* Qualification in Health or Social Care management (minimum Level 6 on the National Framework of Qualifications).
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
