About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and analytical
Data Scientist
to join our team in Ireland. In this role, you will work with large datasets, build predictive models, and generate actionable insights that support strategic and operational decision-making across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Collect, clean, and analyse structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
* Build and deploy machine learning models (classification, regression, clustering, NLP, etc.).
* Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) and generate meaningful insights for stakeholders.
* Develop and maintain data pipelines and model deployment workflows.
* Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to understand data requirements.
* Present complex analytical concepts and models in a clear, understandable way for non-technical audiences.
* Monitor model performance and retrain or optimise models as needed.
* Contribute to the development of data science best practices and scalable analytics solutions.
Requirements
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Data Scientist or Machine Learning Engineer.
* Strong programming skills in
Python or R
.
* Experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
* Proficiency in SQL and working with databases.
* Strong statistical knowledge and experience applying statistical techniques to real-world problems.
* Experience with visualisation tools such as
Power BI, Tableau, or matplotlib/Plotly
.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to break down complex concepts.
Preferred Skills
* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
* Familiarity with MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow, Docker).
* Knowledge of big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop).
* Experience with NLP, deep learning, or time-series forecasting.
* Understanding of GDPR and data governance best practices.
