Senior Project Planner/Scheduler Job Description
The Senior Project Planner/Scheduler will be responsible for developing, overseeing and maintaining project schedules within the site P6 database for the full EPCM and CQV scope of a large CAPEX project.
* Developing working schedules from project concept to production start is a key aspect of this role.
* Creating and integrating schedules, managing workflows and generating progress reports and metrics for management is also a crucial responsibility.
* Development and management of resource loaded schedules in P6, interacting with different stakeholders to ensure resource demand is accurately reflected, is another key duty.
Responsibilities:
* This position involves end-to-end schedule development and management of all schedule aspects of a project from design through to manufacture, including design, construction, commissioning and qualification.
* Project controls management, including baseline schedule development and management, performance status and reporting, baseline change control, risk management, earned value management is a significant part of this role.
* Supporting the development of integrated master schedules for specific programmes in Primavera P6 that reflect all interface milestones and activity durations from multiple schedules is another key responsibility.
* Management of a schedule portfolio of projects, both large capital project and core business project schedules, is also required.
* Generating progress reports for Project Managers is an essential task.
* Summarising individual contractor programmes into overall project schedules is a critical function.
* High level resource loading of schedules to produce progress measure reports is necessary.
* High level resource loading of Owners resources demand to support the delivery of capital projects is also required.
* Generating and communicating schedule recovery plans where necessary is an important task.
* Chairing schedule workshops with cross-functional teams is a vital function.
* Ability to review and integrate detailed design, contracts, construction and commissioning programmes is essential.
* Development of commissioning programmes with commissioning team is another key responsibility.
* Attending weekly contractor meetings across various projects is necessary.
* Developing working relationships with line managers and individuals within each functional group utilizing open communication skills is essential.
