NexVentur is seeking to hire an experienced Site Agent, to join our clients' team, a tier 1 Civil Engineering & Infrastructure contractor, on an upcoming project in Co. Roscommon.
The successful candidate will oversee their site team which may comprise of: Site Engineers, Site Supervisors/Foremen and sub-contractors and take full responsibility for the safe, timely execution of their project in accordance with budgetary, programme and quality requirements.
The project will prioritise Streetworks and Utilities, to enhance accessibility and enhance visual appeal in the town, aligning with modern regeneration projects.
Role & Responsibilities
* Oversee delivery of urban/rural works including pavements, drainage, ducting, lighting, and landscaping.
* Supervise staff and subcontractors, ensuring all works meet design specifications and regulatory standards.
* Determine manpower/equipment needs, negotiate with suppliers, and manage construction budgets and financial forecasts.
* Liaise with clients, architects, and engineers; attend progress meetings and build lasting professional relationships.
* Implement company safety standards, manage permits/licenses, and ensure full adherence to HSQE management systems.
* Monitor project progress and risks, reporting directly to the Regional Director and collaborating with Quantity Surveyors for valuations.
Skills & Experience
* 5+ years' experience in urban/rural civil projects, specifically involving pavements, kerbs, drainage, and ducting.
* Proficient in managing
MEICA elements relevant to public realms, such as public lighting and traffic signal installations.
* Proven ability to supervise staff, operatives, and sub-contractors while mentoring junior technical site staff.
* Skilled in determining resource requirements (plant, labour, materials) and managing construction budgets and forecasts.
* Ability to liaise directly with Architects, Engineers, and Client Representatives to ensure successful project delivery.
* Experienced in managing contract documents, RAMS, and HSQE management systems to ensure full regulatory compliance.
