As a key member of our Business Development team, you will play an important role in supporting the Partners in our Dublin office. Reporting to the Head of Group Business Development, you will help embed best practice and promote a consultative, client-focused approach to BD and marketing.In this broad role, you will take ownership of developing, managing, and delivering targeted BD plans that drive growth and create new client opportunities. You will lead BD and marketing initiatives aligned with the firm's strategic priorities, working with sector, key client, and international teams to identify and pursue opportunities.Partnering with the Head of the Dublin office and senior stakeholders, you will bring commercial insight and fresh ideas to client engagement. Your proactive mindset, energy, and enthusiasm will help strengthen our market presence and support the firm's continued growth.What You'll Do:• Partner with the business to identify growth opportunities across Ireland and implement business plans aligned with firm and sector priorities.• Support partners with business development activities, including targeting, ROI monitoring, cross-selling, key client management, and strategic growth planning.• Lead bids and tenders end-to-end, from strategy and proposition development to coordination with Pricing/Design teams and managing debriefs.• Deliver high-quality BD materials, campaigns, and client events, ensuring alignment with the firm's brand and visual identity.• Provide research-driven insights, support legal directory submissions, drive PR opportunities, and champion BD technologies such as InterAction and Foundation.• Manage a BD & Marketing Executive and oversee the maintenance of accurate content, credentials, and materials to support partners and BD activityWho We're Looking For:• Proven track record in business development and client relationship management within a law firm or professional services environment.• Collaborative team player who engages effectively across functions, builds trusted relationships, and influences senior stakeholders.• Excellent project management and communication skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.• Strong commercial awareness, persuasive business writing, and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring consistently high-quality work.• Experienced people manager with the ability to lead, develop, and support junior BD colleagues while remaining highly organised, adaptable, and enthusiastic.Why Choose Us?Addleshaw Goddard is a place where you are not just valued but encouraged to reach your full potential.
