Key Responsibilities
* Troubleshoot issues with PLCs, HMIs/SCADAs, Protection Relays, VSDs, Network Switches, Engine Controllers, Synchronisers etc.
* Attend emergency callouts to critical customers
* Assist in producing maintenance plans & procedures for systems supported
* Organise routine maintenance checks of equipment at customer premises in line with agreed maintenance contracts
* Report on issues, perform root cause analysis, implement repairs & improvements in consultation with customers
* Organise sub-contractors and specialists where relevant to carry out work at customer sites
* Participate in shutdown activities at Power Stations in conjunction with other engineering disciplines
* Participate in commissioning activities for projects on occasion
Requirements
* Level 6 certificate in Engineering or National Craft Certificate with suitable experience
* Minimum 3 years' experience in similar role
* Experience programming/modifying PLCs using Siemens Step7 and/or TIA
* Familiarity with Control Systems, Safety Systems, Instrumentation, Electrical Switchgear and Generators
* High level of computer proficiency required
* Full Clean Driving License
* Direct experience in operating or maintaining Power Generating Plants, Standby Power Systems or Electrical Infrastructure beneficial
