Job Specification: Sales Representative - Mechanical Components
Overview
We are seeking a motivated and driven Sales Representative to join our office-based team. The successful candidate will be responsible for selling mechanical parts and sandblasting equipment to a network of distributors. This role combines insights with regular customer interactions, requiring strong relationship-building skills and technical curiosity.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and grow sales to existing distributors while identifying new business opportunities.
Conduct proactive outbound sales calls and respond to inbound enquiries.
Develop a strong understanding of the company's sandblasting products and mechanical components.
Visit customers 1 day per week to strengthen relationships, present products, and support distributors.
Prepare quotations, follow up on proposals, and negotiate pricing within agreed guidelines.
Maintain accurate CRM records, including pipeline management and customer activity.
Collaborate with internal departments (operations, technical, and customer service) to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Represent the company professionally at all times.

Essential Experience & Skills

Previous sales experience (minimum 1-2 years) in B2B, industrial, mechanical, or technical product sales.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Confident on the phone and comfortable conducting structured sales conversations.
Ability to explain technical products clearly (training will be provided).
Highly organised with good attention to detail.
Full clean driving licence.

Desirable (Nice-to-Have)

Experience selling to distributors and trade customers.
Knowledge of mechanical parts, industrial equipment, or engineered products.
Familiarity with sandblasting or surface preparation equipment (not essential).
