The Role
The Conference & Events Executive will efficiently organise conferences and events, communicating effectively with guests and other departments. Contributing as a team player, the right person will continuously improve the event and conferencing service. This is a wonderful opportunity to progress your career in a unique family environment that will not be found in any other hotel.
Your Main Duties Will Include:
* Dealing with incoming telephone calls for reservations enquiries
* Receiving the booking from client and proactively planning their event with them
* Responding to all conference and events enquiries in a timely and accurate manner
* Actively selling the image and all services of the hotel by devising attractive ways to attract business to the hotel and increase profits
* Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings
* Collaborating and liaising efficiently with key internal staff (Operations Manager, Duty Managers, Head Chef, Restaurant team and Porters) in advance to ensure clients' needs are met and understood
Who We Are Looking For
A candidate with:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong knowledge of Property Management System preferred; however training will be provided
* Strong customer service ethos and background
* A can-do attitude and the ability to work well in a team
* Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel and other computer software
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multi-task
* Experience working in a reservations/events role
* The ability to manage their own time
