About The Role
We are looking for a Brand Manager to join our wine team on a maternity cover for a 9 month contract. As part of this role, you will develop and execute brand plans in line with the overall business strategy, helping to grow brand awareness, support customer activation, and deliver commercial objectives across our wine portfolio.
You will work closely with brand owners, suppliers, internal teams and external partners to bring campaigns to life across retail, on-trade and foodservice channels. This role will play a key part in managing brand activity, supporting new product launches, delivering marketing campaigns, and ensuring our brands are represented with consistency, creativity and commercial impact.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute brand plans in line with the overall business strategy, ensuring activity supports sales growth, brand equity and customer engagement.
Manage and activate a portfolio of wine brands across retail, on-trade and foodservice channels.
Work closely with brand owners and suppliers to build strong relationships, align on brand priorities, and secure marketing support.
Lead the planning and delivery of 360 marketing campaigns, including in-store activation, digital media, social media, PR, events, trade marketing and customer-specific initiatives.
Support the commercial team with customer presentations, brand sell-in decks, promotional plans, product information and activation concepts.
Manage new product launches, ensuring all key information, artwork, pricing, forecasts, timelines and launch materials are delivered on time.
Work cross-functionally with sales, supply chain, finance, design agencies, printers, media partners and external suppliers to deliver projects efficiently and to a high standard.
Monitor brand performance, market trends, competitor activity and customer insights to identify opportunities for growth.
Manage brand budgets, marketing spend and A&P investment, ensuring all activity is delivered within budget and aligned with brand objectives.
Coordinate trade events, tastings, portfolio showcases, wine dinners and brand activations to build awareness and engagement.
Ensure all brand assets, POS materials, packaging updates and marketing communications are accurate, compliant and delivered on time.
Support sustainability initiatives and communicate brand stories in a way that reflects Findlater & Co’s values and long-term vision for the wine category.
What you’ll have
Ideally, 3+ years of experience in brand management, marketing, trade marketing or a similar commercial role, preferably within FMCG, drinks or the wine industry.
Strong understanding of brand building, customer activation and campaign execution across multiple channels.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple brands, deadlines and stakeholders at the same time.
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to connect brand activity with sales, customer needs and business objectives.
Experience working with agencies, suppliers, media partners or brand owners would be an advantage.
Strong presentation, communication and influencing skills.
Creative thinking with the ability to turn brand stories into engaging customer and consumer-facing activity.
Excellent attention to detail, especially when managing artwork, product information, POS materials and campaign timelines.
Strong IT skills, including PowerPoint, Excel and general reporting tools.
Positive attitude with a proactive, can-do mentality.
Passion for wine, food and consumer trends.
WSET Level 2 or above is preferable, but not essential.
